My office and home are safe places for all people;
I want you to feel welcome to be yourself.
A Brief Overview
I put my clients first and am very inclusive. I specialize in Family Law and Children’s law- marriage, divorce, paternity, custody/ placement, as well as guardianships, CHIPS/TPR defense, and abuse and harassment restraining orders. My reasonable rates are somewhat negotiable, and I try to be fair to you and me. My rates typically run around a $1000 retainer and then $1000 to $2000 in advanced fees, and a pretty flat $150/ hour rated, depending on what kind of case you have and your personal circumstances.
I am open 24/7 as long as you book an appointment ahead of time. Give a call or text at 448.GUTH.LAW or email at steven.guth@guthlawscw.com if you are thinking about getting a lawyer. Talking with me doesn't mean you have to choose me, but you will never know if you want to if you don't make that first call, text, or click. So if the time comes, Come As You Are, every person, every spectrum.
A Very Brief Bio
Established in 2025.
I have lived many lives in my days. I worked 10 years as a blue collar machine operator, had a brief stint as a white collar office worker, and then went back for 8 years in facilities repair in low income housing. I had always had an interest in the law though and how I could use it to help others, so one day I decided "why not law school, I've heard that it's fun." I went to Marquette my first year and then transferred to the UW for my 2nd and 3rd years. Now that I’m not commuting all the time, I have been able to settle in at my home business, Guth Law of South Central Wisconsin, LLC. These days when I do drivie around, it is to meet with folks just like you to see what needs to be done to make things right.
I am passionate about the underserved; those who can't speak up for themselves. Those with mental health concerns, on every spectrum; children; the abused; those with low or no income; the elderly; the differently abled; the alphabet kids - the ones with 504s and IEPs, the spouse who feels completely broken and needs help feeling empowered again. The list goes on. I know what it is like, or at least what it was like for me. Try me. I will always listen. We will get through your legal situation together. Expect serious preparation, candid advice, and individualized advocacy.
